Places To Visit in Rudraprayag
Augustmuni
The name itself derived from the name of Saint Augustmuni. You can see a beautiful cave
temple in the name of Augustmuni over there. It is approximately 19 Km far from Rudraprayag. It is a
belief that pandit Augustmuni is stayed here for his divine purposes. That is why the temple gets his
name
Koteshwar Temple
One of the famous cave temples in Rudraprayag which is worshipped by Lord Shiva.
It located in the banks of the river Alaknanda. You can see lots of ancient idols over there, mostly
including Shiva ling.
Panch Kedar
“Panch Kedar” or “Five Kedar” that lie in the valley which between the rivers Bhagirathiand Alaknanda
Kedarnath
One of the holiest pilgrim places which located an altitude of 3584 meters in the Himalayan
peaks. Approximately it is 86 km far from Rudraprayag
Chorbari Glacier
It is one Panch Kedar site which is approximately 6kms long glacier is approximately 3
kms from Kedarnath. Beautiful destiny Lake of Gandhi Sarovar located between the rock face and the
right lateral moraine of the Chorbari Glacier.
Vasuki Tal

Madmaheshwar

Tungnath
This Panch Kedar site which is located approximately located 4090 meter above, it is one of
the highest Shiva shrine in the Panch Kedars. Nearest road head to this location is Chopra which

Guptkashi
One fabulous approximately 39 kms away from Rudraprayag. This spot is famous for the
ancient temple Vishwanath and Ardhnareshwar.
Ukhimath
The site which is 40 km away from Rudraprayag, it situate on the route to Kedarnath,
Ukhimath is well known as the winter residence of lord Kedarnath as well as the home place of Rawal of
the Kedarnath temple.
Son Prayag
This holy place is the meeting point of river Basuki and Mandakani which lies exactly on the
main Kedarnath route. The place is exactly 5 kms away from Gaurikund. Peoples believe that the touch
of the holy water of son prayag helps to attain the “Baikunth Dham".
Gaurikund
The location is approximately 72 KM away from Rudraprayag; the location is one of the trekking
bases to Kedarnath. You can see a temple of Gauri which having hot springs.
Trijuginarayan
One of the finest destinies in Rudraprayag. The location is exactly 12 KMS away from son prayag. Epics stated that lord Shiva and the parvati’s marriage are held over here in this place. The everlasting flame held for the marriage is still burns here.
