Koteshwar Mahadev TempleKoteshwar temple is situated at a distance of 3kms from Rudraprayg along the banks of Holy River Alakhnanda. The residing deity of this temple is Lord Shiva. Koteshwar is a cave temple and as per sayings and myths of locales, Lord Shiva is said to have meditated here afore going to Kedarnath. Large numbers of pilgrims visit here during the Months of August and September as it is believed that Lord Shiva used to meditate here during these seasons only.
Dhari Devi MandirAnother place of religious importance in Rudraprayg is Dhari Devi temple positioned beside Alakhnanda River. The residing deity of this temple is Dhari Devi also known as Goddess Kali. The shrine of the Devi holds great importance among Hindu devotees. The temple is located 16kms away from Srinagar enroute to Rudraprayag. In order to reach the temple one has to trek down 1 km. From Srinagar, Dhari Devi temple is only an hour away.
