Pithoragarh Fort
If you look out the Pithoragarh Fort since the initial time then it was built during period of Chand Kings and later it was recreated by the Gorkhas in the year 1789. Askot Sanctuary
One of the popular sightseeing of Pithoragarh, Askot Sanctuary also recognized as Askot Musk Deer Sanctuary. The place is spread over a region of 600 square kilometers and the elevation of this area is ranging from 600 meters to 7000 meters above the sea level. An ideal place for wildlife, Askot Sanctuary is the visited by thousands of national as well as international tourists every year. Various wildlife species such as Musk deer, Brown Bear, Leopard, Jungle Cat and migratory birds can be found at this place.

Ralam Glacier
Name of Ralam Glacier comes amongst the foremost Himalayan Glaciers across the world and it is situated at an altitude of almost 2,300 meters above the sea level. The glacier is regarded as the famous trek routes in Uttarakhand that attracts tourist across the world. Trekking lovers can trek upto 3,900 meters above sea level and they can cover it in 8-10 days.

The place Jhulaghat is actually situated at the Indo-Nepal border and situated just 36 kilometers away from Pithoragarh. It’s recommended to visit this place during winters as the climate is quite cool and you can get the amazing views of the valley. Apart from this, the Kali River which is flowing through this town is another key attraction of this place. Besides this, the place is also quite apt for rafting purpose.

Thal Kedar
Popular pilgrims spot Thal Kedar which is located at an elevation of 880 meters above sea level and can be reached through a narrow pathway. This place is mainly dedicated to Lord Shiva and several stories are associated with this too. Here you can gather few really amazing views of the valley and majority of tourists are gathered here on the eve of Shivratri every year.
