On the eve of this festival women belong to Kumaon region load the basket with soil and plant seeds of seven categories of grains. Next day, yellow leaves generated which is also called Harela. These leaves are cut on the tenth day and people put the same on their head and behind their ears. The day of the festival is completed with full of joy and happiness. Along with that on the day of this auspicious occasion, brothers also give some beautiful gifts to their sisters.
