Joshimath which falls on NH58.
Auli via Air
Nearest airport to Auli is Jolly Grant Airport which is located in Dehradun at a distance of
286kms. The airport has convenient connectivity to Delhi with regular flights and Auli is well
connected with Jolly grant airport by motorable roads. Buses, taxis are also easily accessible
from Jolly Grant Airport to Auli.
Auli via train route
The nearest Railway station from Auli is Rishikesh. The Rishikesh railway station is located at
the distance of 294 kms before Auli and has well connectivity by Indian railway networks with
prime destinations of India. Trains to Rishikesh are frequent and taxis and buses are available
from Srinagar, Rudraprayag, Rishikesh, Chamoli, Joshimath and many other stations to Auli.
Important note: In winter season all the road routes from Joshimath to Auli would be closed
because of heavy snowfall. Auli Cable car or locally called as Gadola is only option of
transportation. In summers the timing for last cable trip is 4:20 pm and in winters it would be
5:30 pm. Travelers must reach Joshimath before the last trip of cable car. Otherwise they may
have to stay in Joshimath.
