Situated among the lush green mountains, Bhowali is popular for its picturesque beauty and unhindered vistas of Himalayas which gives perception of experiencing ecstasy for the tourists. Situated at an elevation of 1,706meters above sea level, Bhowali is one of the scenic towns of Nainital district of Uttarakhand state.
Established at charming region, about 12 km from the beautiful city of Nainital, Bhowali is well known for its fruits orchards which mainly export Apricots, Plums, Peaches, Apples, and Strawberries
and making it necessary road junction between neighbouring hill stations like Bhimtal, Ranikhet, Nainital, Almora, and Mukteshwar. It is a perfect hill station and lies very close to the Ghorakhal, famous for Sainik School Ghorakhal and Golu Devta temple.
The name of Bhowali town is also popular for its T.B sanatorium set up here in 1912. Uttrakhand Judicial and Legal Academy is the current addition to the infrastructure of Bhowali town. The foundation stone of UJLA was laid on 19 December, 2004 by respected Mr. Justice R.C. Lahoti, the Chief Justice of India in the presence of Honorable Sri N.D. Tiwari previous Chief Minister of Uttarakhand. In Bhowali there are many places to visit including Jeolikot, Goludevta Temple etc. As of this place is enriched with varied flora and fauna and healthy environment Bhowali is considered as famous health resort.
