Valley of Flowers
This beautiful place is 4kms trek distance from Ghangaria. The region is known as valley of flowers as it is rich in flora and fauna with numerous rare species found here. Valley of flowers was declared as an important National Park of India in the year 1982 and now is a renowned National heritage site. The place is also a major attraction for many botanists, nature praisers and lover catty- corners.
It is another amazing destination to stop by around Hemkund Sahib. It is the last human habitat on the way to Hemkund Sahib and is a lively place with many tourists taking a halt here. The place is perched at a high elevation of 3,050mts above the sea level and at a farther distance of 13kms from Govind Ghat and 4kms ahead of Valley of flowers. For trek lovers this place is good for trekking. You may find the trek path going moderate to easy. This region is experiences heavy rainfall in winters so it is wise to carry a rain coat afore making here. Ghangaria stays open from May to October. This place has many accommodation facilities with Gurudwara, forest houses and GMVN rest houses and private hotels and resorts in place.
