The construction of the Church commenced in the year 1895 under the supervision of Colonel Lieutenant A.H.B Hume of Royal Engineers and completed in the year 1896.

To the left of the main door of the Church there is a lawn right in front of the door that happens to be shut all the time. The ground is area is small but well-maintained. The Church was built by British people but presently it is maintained by Grahwal Rifles. The windows of the church have tainted glass and entire building is beautifully taken care of.St Mary’ Church is a prominent center of attraction at Lansdowne.
