Bheemtal is an ancient place named after the legendary Bhima of Mahabharata when Bhima visited the place during the exile period of pandavas. Bhimtal is older than the town of Nainital and is considered as one of the best excursions of Nainital. Bhim Tal is well connected with Kathgodam and all Kumaon regions and Nepal. Naukuchia Tal implies nine cornered Lake which is 28 kilo meters away from Nainital and from Bhimtal the distance is 4 kilometers. Established in 1936, Jim Corbett National Park is oldest national park of India in Nainital, Uttarakhand and is located at a distance of 68 km from Nainital.
