Loacted at a distance of 62kms away from Chakarta, the place is a beautiful sight that is famous for its carved temples and various traditional monuments. The inscriptions here date to the 8th and 15 century and have range of carved pillars that are renowned for their sculptors. As per the legends, Mahabharat, Lakhmandal was the idea of Duryoudhana. The fort was made of wax so that he could assassinate the Pandavas by burning them live.


Located in the Dehradun district, the place is left on the banks of Yamuna River and is only 28kms North West of the city of Dehradun. It is a place that offers utmost splendor and is an ideal tourist destination that ensures luxury lawns and gardens. The Dakpathar barrage is made on the Yamuna River and is a renowned place for recreational activities.

Hansol Mahsu Temple

This is a spectacular religious place that has beautiful sculptures dating back to Gupta Period and is one of the prominent centers of the Jaunsar Babar region.

Paonta Sahib

It a tiny but a beautiful civilized place in the southern of Sirmour district in the Indian province of Himanchal Pradesh. It is a significant religious spot for Sikhs and is a bustling industrial town. The city has huge Gurudwara that is known as Paonta Sahib and is situated on the banks of river Yamuna. The river is the boundary of the states of Himanchal Pradesh and Uttarakhand.


Dhanulti is located at a distance of around 108kms away from Chakarta and is only 25kms away from Mussorie. It is besieged by dense and thick alpine forest of Deodar, rhododendron and oak trees and offers a pleasing ambience to enjoy the serenity away from the clutter of the urbane towns. Dhanulti offers pleasing surprises for tourists as there are several places in Dhanulti that are yet to be explored. The forests around, along with cool and scenic ambience are a feast for eyes. Kempty Falls

It is one of popular destination amid the tourist’s destinations of the Mussoorie and is one of the magnificent waterfalls that have been thes focal point of the place and a biggest reason of tourists’ attraction here. Kempty falls is located at a distance of 65kms away from Chakarta and is surrounded by lush green mountains. It is raised at an altitude of 4,500ft above the sea level. The falls unfolds gaping view as the waterfall segregates in to five streams and looks like that the streams are bouncing and performing somersault.


Situated at an elevated height of 1,220 mts above the sea level in the Uttarkashi district, Barkot is one of the important destinations of Uttarkashi that provides amazing accommodation facilities. Barkot is an old temple whose residing deity is Lord Shiva and is located 49kms from Yamunotri. Total distance from Chakarta to Barkot is only 85kms.


Last but not the least on the list there is Dehradun. Dehradun is the capital city of the state of Uttarakhand and is surrounded by Himalayas on the north and the Shivalik to its south. Furthermore, it has Yamuna on its west and the Ganga on the east that makes it an entry way to the renowned hill station of Mussoorie and is a highly valued pilgrimage spot of Rishikesh and Haridwar. The destination is one of the oldest cities of India. It is said that Lord Rama and his brother Laxman were here for their exile and did their penance for killing Ravana, Dehradun is located at a distance of 87kms from Chakarta.
